UPDATE: Kappa Kappa Gamma places delta chapter on probation
COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 19, 2021) – Kappa Kappa Gamma has made the decision to place its Delta Chapter at Indiana University on probation. This decision was made following an extensive investigation by Kappa Kappa Gamma and Indiana University. In March 2021, immediately upon learning of hazing allegations and potential violation of Fraternity and university policies, Kappa Kappa Gamma, in collaboration with Indiana University, began the process of investigating these claims alongside university officials.
Kappa Kappa Gamma takes very seriously any allegation of physical, emotional or psychological abuse of its members and absolutely does not tolerate violence or abuse of any kind. Delta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Indiana University is one of our longest-standing chapters, yet we will not stand by while instances of violence or the threat of violence are perpetuated among our membership. The health and safety of our members are always our top priority. All members of Kappa Kappa Gamma commit to complying with our high standards of personal conduct. Any member of Kappa Kappa Gamma who behaves in an abusive or violent way violates those standards and may be subject to dismissal or other disciplinary action.
