An Update on Disaster Relief
In the
past few weeks, many have been affected by the tragic effects of Hurricanes
Harvey and Irma. Kappa
Kappa Gamma has been reaching out to members in impacted areas to let them know
that, should they need it, the Rose McGill Disaster Relief Fund is available.
Additionally, many Kappas have stepped up to the plate to help.
Since Hurricane Harvey
made landfall, nearly 600 members have donated more than $105,000 to the Rose
McGill Disaster Relief Fund. Their generosity has enabled Kappa to respond
quickly to requests for relief. We can’t thank them enough, and neither can
those who have been affected.
The Disaster Relief Fund is
always available to any member who experiences a sudden calamitous event. This
includes hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes and other natural disasters.
If you know a Kappa who
has experienced property damage or loss due to Hurricanes Harvey or Irma or
because of other natural disasters, encourage her to apply for Rose McGill Aid by filling out an application. To
apply, visit www.kappa.org/kappa/foundation/rose_mcgill_aid/ and click Disaster Relief Fund.
If an individual is unable to fill out an
application due to present circumstances, call Kappa Kappa Gamma Headquarters
at 866-KKG-1870 or email foundation@kkg.org.
If you are in a position to help, consider
donating to Rose McGill Aid. To make an immediate impact, visit www.kappa.org/idonate/disasterrelief.
